His selection places him in the Hollywood Walk of Fame’s Class of 2027. According to the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce, he joins a group of 32 honorees whose nominations were approved by the Walk of Fame Selection Committee and later ratified by the Chamber’s Board of Directors.
Delroy Lindo’s Career Has Spanned Nearly Five Decades Across Stage and Screen
Lindo first established himself as a respected stage performer before becoming a familiar face in film. His theater work earned him a Tony Award nomination for “Joe Turner’s Come and Gone,” while his collaborations with director Spike Lee in “Malcolm X,” “Crooklyn,” and “Clockers” helped introduce him to wider audiences during the 1990s.

Over the following decades, Lindo built an extensive résumé that balanced studio productions with character-driven dramas. His film credits include “Get Shorty,” “The Cider House Rules,” “Gone in 60 Seconds,” “Romeo Must Die,” “This Christmas,” and “The Harder They Fall,” while television viewers came to know him through series such as “The Good Fight,” where he played attorney Adrian Boseman.
A new wave of recognition arrived with Spike Lee’s “Da 5 Bloods,” which earned Lindo widespread critical acclaim and major best actor honors from film critics groups. He later received his first Academy Award nomination for playing Delta Slim in Ryan Coogler’s “Sinners,” further cementing a career resurgence that introduced his work to a new generation of moviegoers.
