According to Deadline, the actress and comedian is exiting the long-running NBC series while already in negotiations for a leading role in Netflix’s upcoming drama “Myron Bolitar,” based on Harlan Coben‘s bestselling novels. Her departure follows the typical timeline of performers who leave the show after completing their initial seven-year contracts.
Chloe Fineman’s Time on Saturday Night Live Comes to an End
Fineman joined Saturday Night Live as a featured player in 2019 for the show’s 45th season, arriving alongside Bowen Yang and Shane Gillis. She quickly established herself as one of the breakout additions to the ensemble, earning a promotion to repertory player ahead of Season 47. Her talent for celebrity impressions became a defining part of her work on the series and helped her emerge as one of the show’s most recognizable cast members.

Before joining Saturday Night Live, Fineman had already attracted attention through comedy performances with The Groundlings and the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre, as well as celebrity impression videos shared on social media. A graduate of New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts and the Stella Adler Studio of Acting, she steadily built a career in television and comedy before landing the role that introduced her to a national audience.
Her career has continued to expand while remaining part of the Saturday Night Live cast. In recent years, she appeared in projects including “Dickinson,” “Babylon,” “Megalopolis” and “Summer of 69,” while also lending her voice to animated productions.
