Armie Hammer calls it 'Really Scary' that his kids will eventually look him up online

After retreating from Hollywood due to the 2021 cannibalism scandal, Armie Hammer is searching for a way to reboot his career. In his newly launched podcast, he revealed what he sees when he looks into his future.

While Hollywood is absolutely unpredictable and new scandals surge every single day, no one was prepared for the cannibalism controversies that ended Armie Hammer’s career in 2021. From the very first moment in January when an anonymous Instagram account published screenshots of his private text messages to various women, his life became a living hell.

Hammer’s last appearance in the entertainment industry was in the whodunnit drama “Death on the Nile,” and after that, he stepped away from showbiz for three years. Now, he is slowly making his return, having been interviewed on Piers Morgan Uncensored in July and on the Club Random podcast with Bill Maher a month later.

However, he didn’t take a significant step in this return plan until August, when he moved back to Los Angeles and announced the launching of his own podcast titled The Armie HammerTime Podcast. In the first episode released on October 28, the actor revealed what he sees in his kids’ future when they find out about their dad.

Armie Hammer fears the day his kids come across the abuse allegations

Armie HammerTime Podcast debuted with what potential listeners were expecting: Armie Hammer explaining everything about his past three years with extreme detail. While interviewing his guest, comedian Tom Arnold, the “Call Me by Your Name” star revealed it was very scary for him to think that his children will someday search for him online and see the monster that media outlets made of him.

However, Hammer stated that he will not hesitate to explain to them what happened to his career in 2021, and when that moment comes, a very honest conversation will take place.

It’s quite probable that it will be a long time until then, since his kids, Harper, 9, and Ford, 7, are being shielded from knowing about the scandals by their mother, Elizabeth Chambers, who has lived with them in the Cayman Islands since 2019 until September. The television personality stated that she is doing everything in her power to protect the kids from media criticism of their dad, allowing them to think he is a superhero because that is best for their upbringing.

As she explained in “Grand Cayman: Secrets in Paradise” episode 2, “I don’t speak negatively about him in the press. I don’t speak negatively about him to my children. Because nobody wants a daughter with daddy issues, and nobody wants a son with daddy issues.”

The truth is, cancel culture in the past few years has been equally harsh and forgiving, ending some careers forever while allowing others to resurface. This first year of Armie Hammer’s return to the spotlight will be crucial in determining if the public accepts him back into acting roles. For now, his newly founded podcast seems to be his best shot, especially if he continues to admit how badly the cannibalism controversy has affected his past, present, and future, as well as that of his family.
