A Final Piece Falls Into Place for DC Studios’ Expanding Superman Saga
Arjona’s casting arrives after what The Hollywood Reporter describes as an extensive search process, culminating in screen tests held in Atlanta earlier this month. Among those reportedly in contention were Eva De Dominici, Sydney Chandler, and Grace Van Patten. Early speculation pointed to the character being the comic-book antihero Maxima, though that detail remains unconfirmed.
The sequel will once again be led by David Corenswet as Superman, alongside Nicholas Hoult returning as Lex Luthor. In a notable shift, the film is expected to explore a reluctant alliance between hero and villain as they confront Brainiac, portrayed by Lars Eidinger. The dynamic underscores earlier comments from Gunn that the project would function as much as a Lex story as it is a Superman one.
