Who was Rachel Lillis?

While many iconic voice actors have brought beloved animated characters to life, Rachael Lillis achieved legendary status. Among her many notable roles, she is especially remembered for voicing Misty and Jessie from “Pokémon” in their English versions.

Her impressive body of work also includes voicing Mito in “Hunter x Hunter,” Faragonda and Lucy in “Winx Club,” Danny in “Sonic X,” and Charlotte in “Berserk,” among numerous others.

In May 2024, it was revealed that Lillis was battling breast cancer, and a GoFundMe campaign was shared by several of her fellow actors to support her care. Tragically, she succumbed to the disease on August 10, as announced by her co-star Veronica Taylor, who voiced Ash Ketchum, on Instagram.
