Grotesquerie is the new highly anticipated dark drama from Ryan Murphy that will bring several surprises to the big screen, including its incredible disturbing story and even the acting debut of one of the standout figures: Travis Kelce.
The horror series follows a detective and a nun investigating a series of gruesome crimes that seem personal, while dealing with their own personal issues and uncovering a sinister network that raises more questions than answers.
The first season, which consists of a total of eight episodes, will debut on September 25 through FX and Hulu. Therefore, we will be able to watch all the episodes together, without having to wait to find out the ending.
Could Grotesquerie crossover its characters with those of AHS?
That’s right! Grotesquerie takes place in the same universe as American Horror Story, as both are part of the so-called “Ryanverse”. However, it’s most likely that the characters won’t intersect, as they are two completely different series.
Even the cast is not the same and features different actors from AHS, which is a novelty given that Ryan Murphy often works repeatedly with the same stars, such as Evan Peters and Sarah Paulson.
This time, leading the storyline are Niecy Nash in the main role of Det. Lois Tryon, Lesley Manville as an unknown character, Courtney B. Vance as Marshall Tryon and even Travis Kelce will make his acting debut.
