The competition continues to advance, and it’s time for the new contestants of American Idol Season 22 to perform in the live episodes, which will begin in just a few days and will continue until the grand finale of the reality show.

The judges (who receive a hefty salary) won’t be the only ones helping the artists overcome their fears and give their best on stage. During Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Week, there will be a special guest.

Two iconic stars will take on the role of mega mentor, which was previously handled by Grammy winners Tori Kelly and Jelly Roll. Next, the Billboard #1 Hits Night will take place, where another singer will be invited as a mentor.

Who are the new mega-mentor of American Idol?

New round, new special, new mega mentors. With the start of the new week, the contestants are about to meet the new guides who will help them through the next stages, and they are Gene Simmons and Meghan Trainor.

ABC announced that KISS member will take on the role during Sunday’s episode, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, guiding the artists who make up the Top 14 as they prepare to sing songs from some of the most iconic musicians.

Meanwhile, singer of “All About That Bass” and “NO”, will take on the mentoring role on Monday, with the group that becomes part of the Top 12 of American Idol, as they sing some of the biggest hits from the Billboard #1 Hits Night.

Golden Derby revealed that the nominees for the 2024 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction are quite a few, and among them are Mary J. Blige, Mariah Carey, Cher, Dave Matthews Band, Eric B. & Rakim and Foreigner.

Peter Frampton, Jane’s Addiction, Kool & The Gang, Lenny Kravitz, Oasis, Sinead O’Connor, Ozzy Osbourne, Sade and A Tribe Called Quest complete the extensive list of big names and talents.
