We Were Liars is the next adaptation by Prime Video that will be coming in series format and hopes to be as successful as Maxton Hall with Damian Hardung, especially since it is based on a popular book duology.
Nzingha Stewart (Little Fires Everywhere, Inventing Anna and Grey’s Anatomy) has been chosen as one of the directors and will carry out the pilot episode of the first season, which does not yet have an official release date.
The original story was written by E. Lockhart, who will also serve as a screenwriter for the drama, along with Carina Adly MacKenzie and Julie Plec. Despite still being in development, it is already one of the most anticipated titles.
Who are the cast of ‘We Were Liars’?
This morning it was confirmed that the cast of We Were Liars will be full of well-known stars, but leading the adaptation in the main roles are Emily Alyn Lind, Shubham Maheshwari, Esther-Rose McGregor and Joseph Zada.
Each of the characters is important in this intriguing story, and in addition to the four main stars, there will be several well-known talents from the industry, such as Candice King (The Vampire Diaries) and David Morse (The Green Mile).

What is ‘We Were Liars’ about?
The adaptation of the books tells the story of a 17-year-old girl from a wealthy family, Cady Sinclair, who spends her summers on a private island. After suffering a terrible accident, she struggles to remember events from her past.
Romance, drama and mystery are some of the elements that make up the narrative of the duology, which has sold nearly 3 million copies globally and spent over 40 weeks on the New York Times Young Adult bestseller list.
