The famous rapper 50 Cent announced that he has teamed up with Netflix to produce a docuseries about Sean “Diddy” Combs and all the controversies he has been involved in, including serious legal accusations and his recent troubles.
The series will also cover the long-standing feud between both artists, which has lasted almost a decade. The production is still ongoing, and the number of episodes has yet to be confirmed, but it will follow a documentary style.
It is expected that the title will offer a deep insight into the accusations and Diddy’s impact on the music industry, as well as all the controversies in which he has been the main accused during the recent weeks of September 2024.
When will the docu-series about Diddy be released?
Since the documentary series is still in pre-production, there is no official release date yet, but it is estimated that the episodes of the first season could arrive on Netflix at the beginning of 2025.
Each episode will feature archival material, new interviews and current conversations with artists, as well as several photos that have recently served as evidence in the accusations against Diddy.
USA Today reported that in a joint statement with director and co-producer Alexandria Stapleton, Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson declared that the TV show will have a “significant human impact“. They also said:
“It is a complex narrative spanning decades, not just the headlines or clips seen so far.We remain steadfast in our commitment to give a voice to the voiceless and to present authentic and nuanced perspectives“.
After the rapper confirmed that he did not attend the famous parties, he added “Sean’s story is not the full story of hip hop and its culture. We aim to ensure that individual actions do not overshadow the culture’s broader contributions“.
