2024 has certainly been quite a year for Tom Hardy. Not only did he release “The Bikeriders,” one of the most interesting projects he has worked on, but he is also waving goodbye to Venom, the character that has put him in the spotlight since 2018, when the first film about the Marvel symbiote was released.

The fifth picture in Sony’s Spider-Man Universe is “Venom: The Last Dance,” and, as its name indicates, it appears to be the final movie featuring the iconic duo, at least in leading roles. The narrative led so far by Tobey Maguire, Andrew Garfield, and Tom Holland has seen many characters thought to be gone forever make a return, and the sentient alien may not be an exception.

On this topic, Hardy was open to sharing his thoughts on the future of the franchise he has starred in for six years and answered where we might see Venom next. Check out what he said!

Will Eddie Brock return to the big screen?

The New York Comic Con has long been home to all kinds of announcements regarding Marvel productions, and while Tom Hardy has not confirmed whether we will see more “Venom” titles, he has declared that, given the opportunity, he would not hesitate to play the beloved symbiote again. Especially if there is a chance to clash with his nemesis, as he said: “I would like to fight Spider-Man. I would like to fight him right now. In a movie, 100%. I would never say never.”

There has been much speculation about whether Peter Parker will make an appearance in “Venom: The Last Dance”. While Tom Hardy has been full of “I don’t knows” and has tried to answer evasively to avoid spoiling anything, his body language suggests that there may be a huge surprise for fans of the New York hero.

Whatever the answer may be, Tom Hardy’s words seem to indicate that, regardless of whether they will face each other in the third “Venom” installment, the “Bikeriders” actor would not have any problem returning to the Sony universe if needed.

However, we shouldn’t get our hopes too high, as director Kelly Marcel stated that, for now, the third “Venom” film is planned to be the conclusion of Eddie Brock’s story and that the only element set to continue is the arc of Knull, whose plot will be further developed in other productions.

Additionally, given that “Venom 3” is poised to not be as successful at the box office as the previous installments, it’s quite probable that this is the official goodbye. However, as Tom Hardy said, it may not be the last time we see Venom, with a good chance of him appearing in future Spider-Man flicks.
