Before the multiverse, before the Avengers, and before superhero fatigue set in, there was Spider-Man. Sam Raimi’s early 2000s trilogy redefined what a comic book movie could be, blending heart, humor, and high-flying action in a way that felt both groundbreaking and deeply personal. At the center was Tobey Maguire’s Peter Parker, a quiet and awkward everyman who carried the burden of great power and even greater responsibility.
From the iconic upside down kiss to the haunting rise of Doctor Octopus, these films delivered unforgettable moments that still resonate with fans today. Raimi’s unique mix of pulpy horror and sincere storytelling helped shape the future of superhero cinema, and now, this legendary trilogy is returning to theaters for a limited time.
Experience the Original Spider-Man Trilogy Again
Spider-Man is swinging back onto the big screen this fall as Fathom Entertainment joins forces with Sony Pictures to bring Sam Raimi’s original trilogy back to theaters. This special event offers longtime fans and new audiences the chance to revisit one of the most beloved superhero sagas in cinematic history, just as it was meant to be seen, in theaters.
A major highlight of the re-release is the inclusion of “Spider-Man 2.1,” an extended version of the iconic sequel that features additional and lengthened scenes. Presented in 4K, this marks the first time that the title will receive a theatrical release.
According to Variety, the event begins on September 26 with a screening of “Spider-Man,” followed by “Spider-Man 2.1” on September 27 and “Spider-Man 3” on September 28. For those who miss the first round, encore presentations will be held the following weekend on October 3, 4, and 5.
Tickets for the trilogy event will be available starting July 25, giving fans a chance to return to the world of Peter Parker, Mary Jane, and all the unforgettable moments that defined a generation of superhero storytelling.
