The Terrifier franchise, created by filmmaker Damien Leone, revolves around Art the Clown, a silent and terrifying character who has quickly become a modern icon in the slasher film genre, especially since 2016.

The movies are known for their low budgets but intense gore, which helped the series gain a cult following. David Howard Thornton has become a legend within the genre, thanks to his performance as the clown.

With Art seemingly immortal after the events of the first three installments, the series promises more horror with Terrifier 4 already in development, set to further explore the disturbing story of these characters.

How many Terrifier movies will there be?

The popular horror franchise has plans to continue expanding, with Terrifier 4 already in development. Director Damien Leone has revealed that he plans to make at least two more films, confirming the series will go up to Terrifier 5.

The filmmaker has also said that Terrifier 3 has a more raw and realistic approach, similar to that of the first movie, and delves deeper into unresolved mysteries, such as the connections between Art and Sienna’s father.

David Howard Thornton (The Mean One and Stream), who plays Art the Clown, hinted that future installments will explore deeper aspects of the character, including his more vulnerable and human side.

On the other hand, there is a possibility that the rivalry between Art and Sienna may soon come to an end, as actress Lauren LaVera has expressed that she doesn’t want her character’s story to be drawn out indefinitely.
