After months of production across the UK, “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” has officially completed filming, marking a major milestone for one of Marvel’s most anticipated Phase Six entries. The film arrives at a crucial moment for the franchise, following the reality-altering conclusion of “Spider-Man: No Way Home” and setting the stage for a redefined Peter Parker. With a stacked cast, a new director, and clear ties to Marvel’s evolving street-level corner, the project is now firmly on the path toward its July 2026 debut.
A Fresh Start for Peter Parker and the MCU
Serving as the fourth MCU Spider-Man film and the 38th entry in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, “Brand New Day” is positioned as a tonal shift for the franchise. Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton and written by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers, the film is intended to launch a new trilogy centered on Tom Holland’s Peter Parker after the emotional reset of “No Way Home.”
Holland returns alongside Zendaya and Jacob Batalon, though their characters’ relationships have fundamentally changed. The cast also includes Sadie Sink, Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle / Punisher, Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner / Hulk, Michael Mando as Scorpion, and Marvin Jones III as Tombstone, signaling a story rooted in street-level threats rather than multiversal stakes.
Production began in August this year with location filming in Glasgow, Scotland, doubling for New York City, followed by extensive soundstage work at Pinewood Studios. Additional shoots across England helped complete a production designed to feel more grounded and tactile than its predecessor.
