Maxton Hall is not only one of the most popular series on Prime Video currently, but it is also an adaptation of the iconic romantic trilogy written by German author Mona Kasten in 2021.

The saga consists of three volumes (Save Me, Save You, and Save Us), and only a portion of them has been brought to the screen by Amazon, so there is still much story left to tell in a second season.

Ruby and James, a clever scholarship student and an arrogant millionaire heir, are the protagonists of the plot. As the episodes progress, a confrontation ignites an unexpected spark between them.

What happens at the end with Ruby and James?

| SPOILER ALERT |

The third and final book marks the return of Ruby and James as an official couple, making them endgame for each other. She is no longer expelled, manages to finish school, and then goes to Oxford.

Meanwhile, James gains courage and leaves his father’s company, then goes on a journey. Despite each having their own commitments, they end up together, emotionally involved.

However, they haven’t had an easy road, as at the beginning of “Save Us”, Mr. Sutton is fired from Maxton Hall due to the photos taken of him with Ruby. She finds out that James took the photos and avoids him for a while.

But when she realizes everything that is happening with Lydia’s pregnancy and the problems with her father, she returns to him and then moves into his house, to avoid dealing with her father again, reigniting the sparks between them.

As we reach the end, it turns out Cyril was the one who sent the photos with the aim of removing the teacher from the picture and winning back James’s sister. It was all planned between him and the father of the Beaufort siblings.
