It’s still unknown when “& Sons” will hit the big screen, but what is known is that Matt Smith will be one of the protagonists, alongside other talents in the industry, such as Bill Nighy, George MacKay and Noah Jupe.

The story is based on David Gilbert‘s novel and follows an American writer trying to reconnect with his sons. Pablo Trapero will be in charge of directing, while Sarah Polley adapts the script.

The project is still in pre-production, so not much is known, and no images of the actors on set have been revealed. However, it’s certainly expected to be a success, especially with its stellar cast.

The Death of Bunny Munro | TBA

The Death of Bunny Munro” is the upcoming drama to be scripted by Nick Cave and Pete Jackson, which is still in pre-production. This means that filming has not yet begun and is scheduled to start in June 2024.

The story is a look into the life of a sex-addicted traveling salesman who uses his door-to-door beauty products to meet women. Matt Smith has been confirmed as the protagonist, portraying Bunny Munro.

House of the Dragon Season 3 | 2026

As it has already been confirmed, “House of the Dragon” has a long road ahead and may have up to four seasons if everything goes as planned. Therefore, the third installment is expected to arrive sometime in 2026.

Matt will return to his role as Daemon, following everything that happened in the second part of the HBO series, which you can now enjoy in full on Max. So far, there has been no confirmation on when the new episodes will be released.

Caught Stealing | TBA

Caught Stealing” is one of Smith’s upcoming major films, where he will not only play a key character but also share the screen with top talents in the industry, such as the lead of the drama, Austin Butler.

The story follows former baseball player Hank Thompson, who becomes entangled in a dangerous fight for survival amid the criminal underworld of 1990s New York City, forced to navigate a treacherous underworld he never imagined.

Darren Aronofsky will direct the thriller, which is still in pre-production, while Charlie Huston is the one who developed the script for the crime movie. The exact release date is not yet known, but it is set for 2025.

In addition to the House of the Dragon actor and the Elvis star, the cast includes Zoë Kravitz as Yvonne, Liev Schreiber, Regina King, Will Brill as Jason and the urban singer Bad Bunny.
