She returned to the role in 2024’s “Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire,” further expanding Jia’s story alongside returning cast members Rebecca Hall and the legendary Titan characters. Her work in the sequel earned industry recognition with a nomination for the Saturn Award for Best Performance by a Younger Actor.
Born into an all-Deaf family with multiple generations of Deaf relatives, Hottle was fluent in American Sign Language from an early age. Before breaking into film, she appeared in commercials and participated in projects that promoted awareness and equal opportunities for the Deaf community. She also attended the Texas School for the Deaf, where she competed in track and field.
