Netflix has released its new Mexican crime drama, “Untamed Royals,” and it’s already making waves on the platform just hours after its debut. The film’s raw portrayal of the dark side of privilege and the power to escape accountability is certainly capturing viewers’ attention.

The picture centers around a group of wealthy, spoiled teenagers who use their high status to engage in criminal activities without facing any consequences. Instead, they make innocent people pay the price for their actions.

The cast, filled with rising young stars, is generating quite a buzz as viewers search for more information about them. One of the standout performances comes from Fernando Cattori, who plays Gerardo in the production. Here’s everything you need to know about him!

Fernando Cattori’s age and career

Fernando Cattori is a 28-year-old Mexican director and filmmaker who has made a name for himself in the world of music videos, documentaries, and fashion films. He revealed that his journey began at age 9 when his father gifted him a JVC camcorder, sparking his passion.

The rising performer is an expert in his field, having worked with major brands like Nike, Coke, Forever 21, Dolce & Gabbana, GQ, and Puma. His work has been featured in prominent media outlets such as Time Magazine, Elle México, and Vogue México.

“Untamed Royals” marks Fernando’s first steps into acting! As he mentions on his website, he initially performed for his own experiments and later auditioned for an acting program in college, but he was rejected.

This setback motivated him to train in acting to better understand narrative and performance, and such dedication led him to land the role of Gerardo in the newly released Netflix picture and secure a part in an upcoming drama titled “Ceremonia”.

The production follows Maria Valenzuela, the lead conductor of the Guadalajara Philharmonic, who faces challenges from a young, ambitious conductor—rumored to be portrayed by Cattori, though this has yet to be confirmed.

Is Fernando Cattori single? All on his love life

Fernando Cattori has openly declared his sexuality in his biography, revealing that he is gay. However, he shared that he kept this a secret for a significant part of his life, humorously reflecting on his early career and writing in the third person: “Eventually as a young closeted gay man he considered a career in acting -auditioned for college- didn’t get in. Thankfully. He wasn’t good”.

Since the release of “Untamed Royals,” there has been speculation about whether he is dating his on-screen love interest, Juan Pablo Fuentes, who plays Xavier. While nothing has been confirmed, it seems that the romance remains purely as a fiction item.
