The countdown for The Strangers: Chapter 1 has already begun, and there are only a few days left until the new horror movie starring Madelaine Petsch and Gabriel Basso will have its big debut on the big screen.

The story follows a young couple driving across the country for a fresh start; unfortunately, they are forced to stop at a secluded Airbnb in Oregon and endure a night of terror against three masked strangers.

Renny Harlin (Cutthroat Island and The Legend of Hercules) is directing the thriller, while Alan R. Cohen and Alan Freedland were responsible for developing the screenplay, along with the incredible plot aimed at disturbing viewers.

The Strangers: Chapter 1 arrives May 2024 in theaters

The new movie starring the actress from Riverdale and the actor from The Night Agent will debut on the big screen in mid-May, and so far, the release of The Strangers: Chapter 1 has been scheduled for Friday, May 17th in theaters.

The horror drama has received an R rating, indicating multiple high-intensity scenes and language unsuitable for all audiences. It has been confirmed as the first installment of the new saga, with its sequels arriving in 2024.

Apparently, the title serves as the third part of the franchise The Strangers, originally created by Bryan Bertino (the original story author). However, it is the first of a new trilogy of independent films.
