Season 28 of The Bachelor ended with Joey Graziadei and Kelsey Anderson engaged, and now it’s time to move onto The Bachelorette. During Joey’s finale, it was announced that Jenn Tran will be the lead of Season 21.

Tran, a 26-year-old physician assistant, will be the first Asian to lead a season of The Bachelorette. “I’m looking for someone who has a really big personality,” Jenn said after Jesse Palmer confirmed her casting.

The announcement was definitely a surprise because there were other contestants that seemed to be the frontrunners. For one, Daisy Kent, who was Joey’s finalist and a fan-favorite, as well as Maria Georgas, who, despite her controversies with the other girls, gained the love of the viewers with her honesty throughout the season.

The Bachelorette 2024: Did Daisy turn down the offer?

After it was confirmed that Daisy Kent wasn’t Joey’s winner, she was able to speak about her experience during the After the Rose Special and confirmed she wasn’t interested in being the next Bachelorette.

“I’m healthy and I’m happy, and I haven’t had those two things in a really long time, and so right now, I know it’s a time for me to focus on the things I love and the people I love, and so, right now, no, I’m not ready, and that’s okay, and I’m really proud of myself for realizing that,” she said in the hot chair.

As for Maria, she hasn’t revealed if she was offered the job, but she did show her support for Jenn. “Listen, I love you so much, and I got to know you inside and out, and I want you to know how amazing you are!” she told her.

When is The Bachelorette starting to film?

According to insider Reality Steve, The Bachelorette starts filming on March 26. That’s right, just a day after Joey’s finale aired. However, it hasn’t been confirmed when the new season will air, but Palmer said that it won’t premiere until July.
