When is Yolanda Saldívar’s docu-series coming to streaming?

The convicted individual will star in the new limited series from Oxygen, where she will share her interpretation of her friendship with the Latin star. Selena & Yolanda: The Secrets Between Them will premiere consecutive episodes starting on February 17 at 8 PM ET/PT, concluding the next day at 7 PM.

Both episodes will be available on the Peacock platform the day after their broadcast, where they can be watched with an active subscription. Each installment will detail how the obsessed fan managed to run Selena’s fan club, her businesses, and then shot her with a single bullet in the back when confronted about embezzling funds.

What really happened to Selena?

Selena Quintanilla, known as the “Queen of Tejano Music”, was a highly acclaimed and influential Mexican-American singer, songwriter, and fashion designer within the music industry, especially in the Latin music scene. Unfortunately, her life was tragically cut short.

On March 31, 1995, the artist was murdered by Yolanda Saldívar, the president of her fan club and manager of her boutiques. The incident took place at a Days Inn motel in Corpus Christi, Texas. There, Selena had confronted Saldívar about embezzling funds from the fan club and her boutiques, and during the altercation, Saldívar shot her in the back.

Selena was rushed to the hospital but succumbed to her injuries at the age of 23. The news of her death shocked her fans and the world. Her impact on Tejano music and her cultural significance continue to be remembered, and she remains a lasting figure in the hearts of her followers.
