No, filming for Season 3 has been delayed. While it was set to start filming in March 2024, scripts weren’t ready and the actors have been told they can accept new jobs for the rest of the year.

Meanwhile, Variety reports that HBO is committed to give all the actors and crew a serious plan to start filming in 2025 by October of this year. According to the outlet, Zendaya, Sydney Sweeney and Jacob Elordi are committed to finish the show with Sam Levinson.
What would be the plot of Season 3 about?
So far, there’s no official synopsis for the season. However, Variety reports that the first plan for the script was set five years after the finale of Season 2, meaning that the characters would be adults. In the first version, according to the report, Zendaya’s Rue was relegated to the background and was supposed to be a “private detective.”
However, HBO reportedly vetoed this decision. Meanwhile, Zendaya reportedly pitched an idea in which Rue becomes a pregnancy surrogate. However, HBO didn’t like the scripts because “simply didn’t feel like the show tonally.”
