Variety reported this morning that the show will return with new episodes, and James Farrell, Vice President of International Originals at Amazon MGM Studio, spoke about the impact and success it has had on the platform.



During a conversation with the outlet, the executive said that the program “once again proves that local stories have the power to captivate global audiences”, especially following the success of productions like My Fault.



The story belongs to the Save Me novel <a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/topic/series">series</a>, which consists of three volumes. This means there is still more material to bring to the screen and ample opportunity for exploration.

He also explained that they recreated all the spaces of a hospital in “an ambitious and realistic way so that the Sorolla becomes one of the reference hospitals in today’s fiction. We are looking forward to sharing it with you,” he added.

Fionna Harvey, the real-life Martha of “Baby Reindeer,” has slammed <a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/netflix">Netflix</a> and for portraying her as a stalker in a new interview with Piers Morgan, aired on Thursday May 9. She called Richard Gadd, creator and star of the <a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/topic/series">series</a>, a “misogynistic” and “psychotic.” 



The series, which has accumulated 54 million views so far, tells the story of Donny, a bartender and comedian who gets stalked by a middle-aged woman named Martha. The story has been deemed as based on Gadd’s real life experience with a stalker, which he refused to identify.



However, since the release of the series, fans have been interested in knowing more about the real-life Martha, and finally discover that her real-life counterpart was Fionna Harvey, a Scottish lawyer. After speaking with The Daily Report for the first time (and slamming her portrayal on the show), she also sat down with Morgan to give more insight into her side of the story.



<h2>The real-life Martha denies sending 41,000 emails, says only met Gadd ‘five or six’ times</h2>



During the interview, Morgan, in his characteristically style, confronted the lawyer with some of the alleged facts that have been circulating about the story. For example, Gadd told Netflix that he received “41,071 emails, 350 hours’ worth of voicemails, 744 tweets, 46 Facebook messages, 106 pages of letters and several gifts” from his alleged stalker.



Harvey told Morgan that she didn’t send 41,000 thousand emails, admitting that she sent “some” and saying that if someone does send that quantity of emails, “it doesn’t necessarily mean that you are a stalker.”



When asked if she was in love with him, she first responded “yes,” then asking if it was a “serious question” and then saying no. “I don’t fancy him,” she repeated. Nonetheless, she did confess to dubbing Gadd “baby reindeer,” a nickname she claimed became an ongoing jest after he’d shaved his head.

She also mentioned an incident where Gadd purportedly made a suggestive proposition to “hang her curtains,” a moment almost identical to one portrayed in the show. Harvey also denied having ever smashed up a bar or been convicted for stalking, as Martha is in the show, saying it is “completey nonsense” and “defamatory.”



Morgan highlighted that since Harvey was identified almost immediately after the show premiered on Netflix, both the streaming platform and Gadd’s responsibility of care towards Harvey had experienced “a remarkable failure.”

In her interview with The Daily Record, Fiona Harvey, who allegedly inspired the character of Martha and was identified by Internet sleuths, described herself as a “very competent lawyer,” and told the outlet that she is considering legal action against Netflix for labeling the story as “true,” as the events of the series are “load of rubbish.”



She told the paper that she was “the victim here,” as she has received “death threats as a result of his show despite the fact that a lot of the things he claimed are just not true.” However, Gadd had urged viewers not to try and uncover the true identities of those featured in the show.

She told The Daily Record she wasn’t so happy about the result of the interview with Morgan, which was pre-recorded. She said that she felt “It was very rapid to try to trip me up. He did it fast paced to catch me off guard.” She also claimed that she “felt a little bit used.”



Harvey said that Morgan was insisting on the 41,000 emails she supposedly sent, to which she responded: “Look, even if I had sent some emails, it doesn’t mean I’m guilty of the rest of the stuff. As I said, in order to bill something as a true story, it’s got to be pretty much 100% true.”



<h2>What isn’t true on Baby Reindeer, according to Fiona Harvey?</h2>



One of the things that Harvey has refuted is the fact that she went to jail due to its alleged stalking. In the show, Martha leaves a threatening voicemail on Donny’s phone and gets arrested. However, in real life, it didn’t happen that way.



“Gadd needs to prove I went to jail which just didn’t happen. I’ve never been sent to jail. That is blatantly obvious,” she said, also stating that there aren’t “restraining orders.” However, Gadd himself has implied that the ending wasn’t what happened in real life, saying to The Irish Times that he didn’t want to lock up someone so mentally unwell.

The series, which originally aired on CBS and <a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/paramount-plus">Paramount+</a>, has also debuted on the eighth spot of the Top 10 in the US, according to FlixPatrol. It was released on April 30, with the first two seasons dropping out on the platform.

Critics laud the horror drama for its stellar performances, particularly by Herbers, Colter, and Mandvi.

Chance Perdomo‘s character Andre Anderson from “Gen V” will not be recast for Season 2 of “The Boys” spinoff <a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/topic/series">series</a>. Perdomo, who tragically passed away at the age of 27 in March due to a motorcycle accident, will not be replaced, as stated by the “Gen V” producers.



“No one can replace Chance,” they wrote in a statement released on May 5. “Instead, we have been taking the time and space to recraft our Season 2 storylines as we begin production in May,” the statement continued, “We will honor Chance and his legacy this season.”



In the first season of “Gen V,” released in October of 2023, Perdomo portrayed Andre Anderson, a student at Godolkin University with magnetic manipulation abilities. The season finale left Andre, along with fellow students Marie Moreau, Jordan Li, and Emma Meyer, held in a high-security facility after the God U massacre.



<h2>Season 2 of ‘Gen V’ was delayed after Perdomo’s passing</h2>



Since its release, “Gen V” has been a success both among audiences and critics. The first season of the series happens concurrently with the fourth season of “The Boys,” and it was praised for maintaining the subversive tone of the original, while also giving it a fresh concept.



Just a month after its release, it was renewed for a second season. Production was supposed to start back in April in Toronto. However, Perdomo’s tragic accident delayed the beginning of filming, as showrunners had to decide what to do with his character.

Back in March, producers released a heartfelt statement: “We can’t quite wrap our heads around this. For those of us who knew him and worked with him, Chance was always charming and smiling, an enthusiastic force of nature, an incredibly talented performer, and more than anything else, just a very kind, lovely person. Even writing about him in the past tense doesn’t make sense. We are so sorry for Chance’s family, and we are grieving the loss of our friend and colleague. Hug your loved ones tonight.”



The “Gen V” cast, including Maddie Phillips, Derek Luh, Asa Germann, Lizze Broadway, and Sean Patrick Thomas, also shared a joint statement in tribute to Perdomo: “Our hearts are with Chance’s loved ones as we grieve this shocking loss.
