“I wrote this song for my character, John. It’s about a man longing so deeply for the love of his life that he has lost perception of reality. His love is his entire world, and every moment he falls deeper and deeper into his melancholy.”

In an interview with Forbes, the star mentioned that growing up in New Orleans, where playing different genres is common, he recorded many rock and roll tunes and even played in rock bands.
