The first season was set during the height of Korea’s Japanese occupation, while the second season takes place during its final years, as World War II erupts and American forces arrive in Korea to oppose the Japanese. In “Pachinko,” Kim Min-ha continues her role as Sunja into her middle age, Youn Yuh-jung portrays Sunja in her senior years, and Jin Ha will return as Solomon.

In addition to the returning cast, Shrinking co-creator and Ted Lasso alum Brett Goldstein will join the show as a guest star. According to a March 2024 report from Deadline, multiple attempts were made to bring Goldstein into the series, and it has finally “panned out.” While details about his character are still under wraps, his involvement adds another layer of anticipation for fans.



Goldstein, who previously collaborated with Bill Lawrence on Ted Lasso where he played Roy Kent, has also made appearances in Thor: Love and Thunder and The Garfield Movie.

In a March 2023 interview with Variety, Lawrence revealed that forgiveness would be the central focus of the second season, with potential themes of moving forward in life planned for future seasons.



The new season will also address the consequences of Jimmy’s unconventional therapy methods, which often led his clients into chaotic situations. The Season 1 finale hinted at potential fallout, particularly involving Heidi Gardner’s character, Grace, whose actions are likely to have significant repercussions for Jimmy.



In a late March 2023 interview with Variety, Jason Segel confirmed that Jimmy’s advice would indeed have serious consequences, as some clients took his guidance to heart, leading to unexpected outcomes.

Dominic Sessa has his breakthrough in the film industry thanks to his main role in “The Holdovers,” alongside Paul Giamatti and Da’Vine Joy Randolph. However, the Hollywood newbie is adding new titles to his filmography.



In an interview with V Magazine, Sessa revealed that having a successful first role in Alexander Payne’s Christmas drama, which was nominated for five Oscars, including Randolph’s win as Best Supporting Actress, put a pressure for him to decide his next roles in <a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/movies">movies</a>.



He said that being in something that “everybody loves so much” was “overwhelming” and “flattering in so many ways,” but after questioning “how fast” he was going to be able to act again, he is now trying to “not put too much pressure” on himself. “I’m just starting out and I still don’t really totally know what I’m doing. I’m just having fun,” he added.

Sessa also confirmed that he was filming “Oh. What. Fun,” an upcoming Christmas comedy directed by Michael Showalter. The film stars Michelle Pfeiffer, Chloë Grace Moretz, Felicity Jones, Denis Leary, Jason Schwartzman, Eva Longoria and Danielle Brooks.



Written by Chandler Baker and Showalter, it follows Claire Clauster, played by Pfeiffer, who makes Christmas magic happen every year for her family. However, her children and grandchildren don’t value her efforts… Until she goes missing.



<h4>Tow | TBA</h4>



Sessa is also part of the cast of “Tow,” a drama film by Stephanie Laing. The movie, written by Jonathan Keasey, Brant Boivin and Annie Weisman, also stars Rose Byrne, Demi Lovato, Ariana DeBose, Octavia Spencer, and Simon Rex.



The story follows Amanda Ogle (DeBose), a homeless Seattle woman, who fights her way out of tow-company hell to reclaim her life and the car that held it all together after receiving a tow bill for $21,634.



<h4>Anthony Bourdain’s biopic | TBD</h4>



While it’s not confirmed, Deadline reported that Sessa was in talks to star in <a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/movies/anthony-bourdain-biopic">the upcoming Bourdain’s biopic.</a> The film would follow a stage of the chef and author’s life, who was best known for his show “Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations,” which ran for five seasons.



Matt Johnson is directing the project. The Canadian filmmaker is best known for helming ‘BlackBerry’ (2023). Meanwhile, Lou Howe and Todd Bartels wrote the script. A24 is in negotiations to acquire the project.
