One of the best <a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/topic/action">action</a> film franchises is back, and, of course, with its inimitable star. Once again, Eddie Murphy returns for another installment of “Beverly Hills Cop,” three decades after the last title.



As the ultimate fans of these productions know, this fourth part was initially announced for release in the mid-’90s, with Murphy as producer, but this idea was forever stuck in development hell. Now, after numerous rewrites from 2006 to 2021, we can finally say that it will become a reality.



Mark Molloy directed the <a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/topic/comedy">comedy</a>, making his feature-length movie debut with this picture. It had three screenwriters, Will Beall, Tom Gormican, and Kevin Etten, who were behind some of the greatest box office hits of recent years, like “Aquaman,” “Zack Snyder’s Justice League,” and “The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent.”

In this fourth installment, Axel Foley returns to Beverly Hills after his daughter Jane’s life is threatened. She and Axel team up with her ex-boyfriend and his old friends John Taggart and Billy Rosewood to uncover a conspiracy.



Yes, John Ashton and Judge Reinhold will reprise their iconic roles from the past films. Paul Reiser and Bronson Pinchot, who played Jeffrey Friedman and Serge, will also return, which marks quite an event for the longtime fanbase of this universe!



Even more interesting are the new additions. Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Taylour Paige, and Kevin Bacon will be stepping into the world of Axel Foley for the first time. It’s a pity that we don’t get to see <a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/topic/tom-hardy">Tom Hardy</a> and Channing Tatum, who were rumored to star in 2017 but eventually turned down the offer.





For those already asking for a fifth part, as noted earlier, Paramount+ signed a contract for the option to make a sequel. Thus, if “Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F” gets high viewership numbers in Netflix, it is very likely that we will see another installment in late 2025.

The superhero film “Samaritan,” starring Sylvester Stallone, has reached the Top 6 on <a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/max">Max</a> worldwide, according to FlixPatrol (as for May 22). However, in the US, the movie is available to watch on Prime Video, as it is an Amazon MGM production.



Directed by Australian filmmaker Julius Avery, known for titles such as “The Pope’s Exorcist” or “Overlord,” the <a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/movies">movie</a> is a gritty, dark tale of the genre. Written by Bragi F. Schut, it follows a kid who suspects that his neighbor is secretly a superhero who was believed to have died many years prior.



Apart from Stallone, who also co produces, the superhero-<a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/topic/action">action</a> film stars Pilou Asbæk, Dascha Polanco, Moisés Arias and “Euphoria” star Javon “Wanna” Walton. While the movie enjoys its popularity on streaming, a sequel is in development.



<h2>‘Samaritan’ was an unexpected success for Prime Video</h2>



According to Amazon, “Samaritan” premiered in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide, and was the No. 1 film on the service for three consecutive weeks, overperforming on <a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/prime-video">Prime Video.</a>

Despite this, the film wasn’t well received by critics. The movie currently holds a 38% rating on Rotten Tomatoes with 120 reviews. The critics’ consensus reads: “Although Samaritan is better than it could have been, this Stallone-led superhero drama is creatively underpowered.”



It’s true that audiences were kinder with the film, giving it a 71% audience rating and praising Stallone’s performance, as well as the film’s premise. Schut, who is also known for working in titles such as “Escape Room,” will come back as a writer for the sequel.



On the other hand, The Rocky actor will also return as producer alongside Balboa Productions partner Braden Aftergood. However, it is unclear if Avery will also come back to the director’s chair or if someone else will be tapped to helm the sequel.

The announcement of Cavill’s departure from “The Witcher” coincided with the news that he was going to reprise his role as Superman for DC, five years after his last outing as the hero in “Justice League” (2017). However, his possible return was axed, after James Gunn decided to move on with a new interaction of the character, now played by David Corenswet.



At the time, Cavill said that his time in the series “has been filled with both monsters and adventures, and alas, I will be laying down my medallion and my swords for Season 4,” before welcoming the “fantastic” Liam Hemsworth to the show.



“As with the greatest of literary characters, I pass the torch with reverence for the time spent embodying Geralt and enthusiasm to see Liam’s take on this most fascinating and nuanced of men,” he added. Meanwhile, Hemsworth said in a statement that he was “over the moon” for the opportunity, and praised Cavill, saying he was “honored” to follow his footsteps.

It appears that before it arrives on <a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/prime-video">Prime Video</a>, the title would premiere on MGM+ exclusively in the United States. Therefore, only subscribers to the platform will be able to access the content.



Vernon Sanders, head of television at Amazon MGM Studios, provided the news in a recent statement and assured, “Expanding the Marvel universe with Noir is a unique and special opportunity, and we are honored to bring this series to our global Prime Video customers”.
