The film is set to be released in almost a month and marks the actress’s return to romantic comedies, filled with drama. Rudy Mancuso will co-star in the role of Rudy, while Mendes will play Isabella.
Directed by the actor himself, the production is based on a script written by him and Dan Lagana. Now, with the release of its first trailer, the streaming giant confirmed its release date for April.

Música now has a release date, and the romantic comedy will hit Prime Video‘s catalog on April 4th of this year, so the countdown has begun, and it won’t be long before we see Camila Mendes and Rudy Mancuso join forces.

The Riverdale actress, whose parents are Brazilian, will highlight her Latin roots in the story, as the narrative, based on Mancuso’s work, incorporates culture as one of the main elements of the outgoing narrative.
The plot itself revolves around a love story, following an aspiring creator with synesthesia who must confront an uncertain future while navigating the pressures of love, family and his Brazilian culture in Newark, New Jersey.

Música is a mega-personal project, not only for Mancuso but also for Mendes. The director and actor took on the tasks of choreographing, composing, and co-writing the film, allowing him to connect with his Brazilian culture, which he shares with the actress.

However, to make it even more special, there’s also the fact that the protagonists not only portray a great love story on screen but also live it off-screen. Love blossomed on set while filming during 2022, so they have been together for quite some time.
Rudy didn’t hesitate to express his excitement about the involvement of the young Upgraded star and posted on his official Instagram account: “I’m more than thrilled to have Camila’s wildly gifted mind join this special journey of ‘Música,’ where we are telling an authentic Brazilian-American story through the eyes of a synesthete“.
