It wouldn’t be a surprise that the writers and creators behind the Bridgerton adaptations are under constant pressure, especially due to the fans’ demand for new episodes and seasons of the drama.
Jess Brownell, showrunner of the Netflix series, has been giving multiple interviews about the show’s future and revealed a bit about the process, as well as when the fourth installment could arrive.
It hasn’t been revealed yet which character the story of the upcoming episodes will focus on, as the order of Julia Quinn‘s books has been changed. However, everything indicates that it could be Benedict’s turn.
Season 4 of Bridgerton could hit Netflix in 2026
Jess Brownell, showrunner of the popular period drama, spoke about the fourth season of Bridgerton and its possible release date. Well, it seems we’ll have to wait two years for the arrival of the new episodes…
This means that the new installment would arrive at some point in 2026, although if they manage to speed it up, it could hit Netflix’s catalog during the winter of 2025, but nothing is confirmed yet.
The Hollywood Reporter managed to speak with Jess about the future of the series and during a conversation with the creator, she confessed that filming the episodes is not an easy task, so the process will take quite some time. She said:
“We are working to try and put the seasons out more quickly, but they do take eight months to film and then they have to be edited, and then they have to be dubbed into every language. And the writing takes a very long time as well, so we’re kind of on a two-year pace, we’re trying to speed up but somewhere in that range“.
