Netflix: New season of teen drama 'Heartbreak High' reaches Top 8 series worldwide

Heartbreak High, the reboot of a popular series for young adults, has premiered its second season on Netflix's catalog and not only is it a strong trend, but it has become the #8 most-watched. Here are the details.

Netflix has updated its Top 10 worldwide, and the second season of a popular Australian series, Heartbreak High, has become the eighth most-watched titles on the platform globally.

The TV show is known for addressing relevant and controversial topics for teenagers, such as interpersonal relationships, love, friendship, family difficulties, bullying, drugs and cultural identity.

The first season premiered in 2022, and on Thursday, April 11 of this year, the new episodes were added to the catalog, once again following the lives of the students and teachers at the high school.

Heartbreak High ranked No. 8 series on Netflix worldwide

Heartbreak High, the teen drama created by Hannah Carroll Chapman, has managed to trend again thanks to the arrival of new episodes in the catalog, making it the No. 8 most-watched worldwide.

The specialized site Flix Patrol reported that the reboot of the 1994 homonymous TV show, which first aired on Network Ten, surpassed other major titles on the service, including The Gentlemen and Queen of Tears.

The romantic drama follows a group of young people when an incendiary mural reveals the secret relationships of Hartley High students. Its author, Amerie, now shunned by everyone, must deal with the chaotic repercussions.

The cast is filled with great talents, but the episodes start with Ayesha Madon (The Moth Effect) in the lead role of Amerie, an impetuous working-class girl who becomes an outcast at Hartley High.

The actress, also known for the miniseries Love Me, was joined by names like James Majoos, Chloé Hayden, Asher Yasbincek, Thomas Weatherall, Will McDonald, Josh Heuston, Gemma Chua-Tran and Bryn Chapman-Parish.
