Could we soon witness the rise of a new One Direction? Anything is possible in “Building The Band“, the upcoming reality-style series that Netflix plans to launch, with Liam Payne as a judge alongside other big stars.

The upcoming project has been described as a music competition with a vibe similar to “Love is Blind”, where 50 singers will form groups based solely on vocal chemistry before seeing each other.

Nicole Scherzinger and Kelly Rowland will join the 1D star as judges, while AJ McLean of The Backstreet Boys will host the episodes. The reality show promises to be both a social experiment and a singing competition.

When is Building The Band coming to Netflix?

Netflix has confirmed that its new major musical project, “Building The Band“, will debut on the platform next year. Therefore, the series‘ episodes won’t be available until sometime in 2025.

“What will happen when the bands finally meet and looks, choreography, and style come into play? Incredible performances, compelling drama and one big goal: find the next great music band”, describes the official synopsis.

In essence, the television show that promises to be one of the next big talent competitions like The X Factor will focus on musical compatibility and chemistry before factors such as appearance or style come into play.
