The remake of The Crow starring Bill Skarsgård is one of the most anticipated projects of 2024, bringing back to the big screen a film that has become a cult classic since its release in May 1994.

While it will remain faithful to the essence of the original story, certain adjustments have been made to modernize the plot and make it relevant, such as a deeper focus on themes of loss, revenge and redemption.

The Gothic drama will maintain its melancholic and dark tone, with a soundtrack that could include both classic tracks from the first installment and new compositions that reinforce the emotional atmosphere.

Where was The Crow shot?

The highly anticipated new version of The Crow was primarily filmed in Prague, Czech Republic. However, some scenes were also shot in Munich, Germany, to take advantage of the variety of urban settings.

The movie‘s visual aesthetic is unique and particular, making the decision to film in Prague a strategic one, especially since the city is known for its Gothic architecture and dark atmosphere.

These were key elements considered by the production team to maintain the original atmosphere of the classic film, which was released more than 30 years ago and can be enjoyed through Prime Video, Fubo and Paramount+.

Filming began in July and was initially located in Prague and Penzing, before moving on to various central locations in the cities. The drama by Rupert Sanders will hit the big screen on August 23 of this year.
