Nick Jonas (Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle and Midway) in a dramedy filled with musical classics? Well, of course it was going to grab everyone’s attention. The singer has showcased his acting skills again in “The Good Half“.
The story follows Renn Wheeland, who returns home to Cleveland for his mother’s funeral. Once there, he forms new relationships while healing old ones, before confronting his issues and trying to cope with his grief.
The movie was directed by his close friend, Robert Schwartzman, while the script was developed by Brett Ryland. The star joined talents with figures such as David Arquette, Alexandra Shipp and Brittany Snow, among others.

Did Nick Jonas sing in The Good Half?
That’s right! Nick Jonas was not only cast as the lead in The Good Half, but he also showcased his singing skills by performing the song “I Melt with You” by Modern English during a karaoke scene.
The director of the dramedy, Robert Schwartzman (The Princess Diaries and The Virgin Suicides), who is a close friend of the youngest Jonas Brothers member, spoke about his performance with Variety. and said:
“Obviously, [Nick] is a very talented musician and has done incredible work as an actor. But that initial vibe was there and the trust of being able to work with someone I could really collaborate with openly, who would be honest with me when I needed the honesty back“.
Who composed the score for The Good Half?
William Schwartzman was the one responsible for developing the music and according to Soundtrack OST, the tracks “enhance the exploration of grief and nostalgia, creating a backdrop that resonates with the emotional journeys”.
