Plot

The group is tasked with stealing a valuable diamond from a powerful worldwide crime syndicate, led by a new antagonist played by Rosamund Pike. To pursue this, they recruit three skilled younger magicians. The generational gap between the two groups will inevitably lead to difficulties.

The Familiar Faces and Exciting New Additions

Jesse Eisenberg is back as the quick-witted J. Daniel Atlas, Woody Harrelson returns as the cynical mentalist Merritt McKinney. Dave Franco is also back as the sleight-of-hand expert, Jack Wilder, and Isla Fisher returns as Henley Reeves, along with Morgan Freeman as the skeptical Thaddeus Bradley. Even though Mark Ruffalo doesn’t appear on the trailer, he is confirmed to reprise his role as the FBI agent turned Horsemen ally, Dylan Rhodes.

A younger trio of illusionists, played by Justice Smith, Dominic Sessa, and Ariana Greenblatt, are introduced and become a crucial part of the new heist. This is a deliberate move by the franchise to expand the cast and appeal to a broader audience.
