Undoubtedly, “Karate Kid: Legends” is one of the most anticipated movies of 2025, not only because it is the continuation of the successful martial arts franchise but also because it marks the return of two major figures.

Jackie Chan and Ralph Macchio will reprise their roles as Mr. Han and Daniel LaRusso, respectively, who belong to two different installments within the saga’s universe. This time, their paths will cross as senseis.

Jonathan Entwistle is the one who has directed the action drama, which is scheduled to hit theaters on May 30. Rob Lieber is the one who has written the screenplay, which is based on characters created by Robert Mark Kamen.

Showbiz Galore reported that “Karate Kid: Legends“, which is the sixth movie of the saga, has a high budget of $100 million, which covers all production costs as well as the hefty salaries of the lead actors.

Jackie Chan has earned the title of the highest-paid cast member, with a reported salary of $15 million for returning to portray Mr. Han. Meanwhile, Ralph Macchio comes in second place with $2 million.
