The Gilded Age, the Primetime Emmy-winning series, is back, and the great news was confirmed through Max‘s social media channels. The day has finally arrived, and fans of period dramas will soon find out what happens to the characters in a third season, set to join the HBO catalog next year.

The second season of the lavish drama created by Julian Fellowes concluded on Sunday, December 23, and it didn’t take long for the announcement of the new episodes. This was expected, as Warner Bros Discovery noted that the show’s last episode reached a new historic peak in viewership.

The successful story is set in late 19th-century New York City during the Gilded Age, a period known for economic changes and conflicts between old customs and new systems in the country. Therefore, in the upcoming installment, we might see a small leap in time.
