The Franchise” is likely one of the most anticipated series for the second half of the year among Max users, not only due to its incredible cast but also because of its appeal to fans of satirical comedies.

Created by Jon Brown and directed by Sam Mendes, it is a witty satire about the chaotic world behind superhero movies. Many rumors suggest that several scenes are based on behind-the-scenes events from Marvel and DC Comics.

The first season follows a dysfunctional team working on an unpopular film franchise, highlighting the absurd reality of major Hollywood productions, especially those related to superheroes.

Will The Franchise get a second season?

Not at the moment! The Franchise has not been renewed for a second season as of mid-October, but there has been talk about the show’s future, and several team members have expressed interest in new episodes.

Aya Cash, one of the main actresses in the comedy, told ComicBook.com that there is still more to explore, especially regarding the hair and makeup department, which hasn’t been discussed much so far.

I mean, we’ve talked about this already, but like hair and makeup is not really explored. And hair and makeup is where all the gossip happens. It’s also where all the therapy happens“, said the star, who plays Anita.

Several other actors discussed what they would like to see in a possible second season, but most of it focuses on intimacy coordinators, press junkets and Hollywood’s obsession with nostalgia.

We still have to wait for HBO to give the green light for the TV show to bring a new batch of episodes to the Max catalog, but we may not be too far from that happening, given the huge hype it had before its premiere.
