Guess who’s back! On May 31, Eminem shook the world once again with the release of “Houdini,” the lead single from his upcoming twelfth album, “The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce).” The event has garnered significant attention not only for its impressive marketing campaign but also because the rapper hinted that this could be his final act.

Since Dr. Dre announced in March on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” that Eminem was working on his next big release, his fanbase and the world have been on high alert for any clues. And the rapper has certainly fueled their curiosity.

From a video styled like “Unsolved Mysteries” investigating the question “Who killed Slim Shady?” to a fake obituary for the alter ego in the Detroit Free Press, Eminem has been leaving numerous hints about the nature of his next project. But, for now, the most important question remains: When will it see the light?

All on the release date for Eminem’s new album

As announced by the rapper himself on April 25, “The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce)” is slated for release in the summer. This timeframe falls between June 21 and September 21, so the album is expected within this period.

To gauge a more precise release date, we can look at Eminem’s typical pattern for releasing albums. While he doesn’t have a set method, his dedicated fans have observed that when he doesn’t surprise-drop albums like “Music to Be Murdered By” and “Kamikaze,” he tends to release them approximately two months after announcing them.

Considering this, it’s plausible that Eminem’s upcoming album will be released sometime in June. July is also a possibility, with September being less likely.

Moreover, Dr. Dre hinted during his invitation to Jimmy Kimmel that Eminem’s album was ready, needing only a few finishing touches. If it was completed two months ago, it’s unlikely the artist would wait much longer to release it.

Further supporting this timeline is the fact that Dre teased a collaboration album with Snoop Dogg after Eminem’s, also in the summer. For this to occur, “The Death of Slim Shady” would need to be released in June, so they do not overlap.

Lastly, a limited edition digital deluxe version of the album was announced for pre-order on Eminem’s website, available until June 7th. This indicates that the album’s release is imminent and unlikely to be much after that date.
