Teleshow reported that sources in the case are investigating the cause as a suicide, stating that “he may have jumped from the third floor“. Infobae also confirmed that the musician arrived at the hotel alone on Sunday, October 13.

He stayed there until this afternoon, when, hours later, the hotel manager reportedly heard a loud noise at the back of the hotel. Upon reaching the scene, he saw that the guest had allegedly jumped from the balcony.

Dr. Alberto Crescenti, head of SAME, was the one who attended to the singer and told América Noticias 2da. Edición that Payne likely died instantly, as he fell directly to the ground from his room, which was number 310.
