Luke Newton is one of the actors of the moment, especially after the release of the new episodes of Bridgerton, which belong to the recently added third season of the popular TV show on Netflix.

The young star portrays Colin Bridgerton, one of the older brothers in the aristocratic family, and he stars in a passionate love story with Penelope Featherington (played by Nicola Coughlan).

As expected, the series has opened doors for him in the entertainment industry, and he will soon be involved in some interesting projects, in addition to the second part of the romantic period drama.

What are Luke Newton’s next projects?

Luke Newton will return to portray Colin, accompanied by his co-star Nicola Coughlan as Penelope Featherington, along with some of the series’ iconic stars, such as Claudia Jessie (who plays Eloise Bridgerton).

The period drama created by Chris Van Dusen (Scandal) and produced by Shonda Rhimes (Grey’s Anatomy) has become a major trend in recent years, especially since the airing of its first episode in 2020.

In total, the last part of the third edition of the show will have four episodes, just like the first. The story is based on the popular and best-selling romantic novels written by Julia Quinn.

Viana the Legend of the Golden Hearts | TBA

Viana the Legend of the Golden Hearts” is Luke Newton’s upcoming project that has absolutely nothing to do with Bridgerton. Although it is still in production, multiple details about the animated film have already been revealed.

It is a musical filled with adventure and comedy, where Newton will voice and bring to life Thomas, one of the main characters. Besides him, the cast includes Daniela Melchior as Princess Ana and Pêpê Rapazote as Don Florentin.

Rodrigo Carvalho (Children of Trash and OMG: Oh My God!) is responsible for the direction, based on a script he co-developed with João Ramos (Nutri Ventures and Storybox) and Henrique Silva (Amo-te Imenso and Little Cities).

The story is set in northern medieval Portugal and follows the beautiful Ana, who falls in love with Thomas, a poor craftsman. Her father immediately forbids their union, demanding that her suitors present a jewel as proof of their nobility.

The young couple refuses to give up. With the help of their loyal companions, the generosity of the village women, and the talent of a mysterious jeweler, they will face many challenges for love, including the powerful and evil Duke of Aragon.
