Justin Timberlake continues to elevate his status as a pop star, and this morning it was confirmed that he will add more dates to the U.S. leg of the Forget Tomorrow World Tour.
To showcase some of the best songs in his repertoire, he will also perform this Saturday on SNL as the special musical guest, while Dakota Johnson takes on hosting duties for the show. Both will be featured in some comedy sketches.
After all his work throughout his career, it was to be expected that he would have a substantial fortune. A few years ago, he was classified as one of the richest celebrities and singers in the industry, with a fortune worth millions.
How rich is Justin Timberlake?
Justin Timberlake is one of the wealthiest stars in the music industry, especially after being part of one of the most iconic bands in history: NSYNC. Currently, he has a fortune of $250 million, according to Celebrity Net Worth.

In addition to his career as a singer, actor, songwriter, and record producer, he owns several other businesses that have made him quite wealthy. He expanded into the business world with the tequila 901, the clothing line William Rast and a series of jointly owned restaurants.
In 2012, he also decided to become an investor in Myspace.com, which was relatively recently revamped. Several media outlets confirmed that in a typical year, Justin earns over $50 million from various ventures, including his sponsorships with other brands.
For a while, the star was accused of being frugal and had to come out to clarify how he manages his money. Timberlake stated in an interview that he is quite restrained with his expenses and said, “I probably buy clothes once a year, and it lasts me a long time”. He also confessed that he believed money doesn’t buy happiness but that it “helps you get it”, according to Cuore.
Justin Timberlake sold his written songs for N’SYNC
Timberlake decided to sell the songs he wrote for his former band, N’SYNC, in May 2022. He reached a lucrative deal to sell the catalog to Hipgnosis Song Management for an estimated value of $100 million.
According to Celebrity Net Worth, the deal granted the company the right to control and benefit from approximately 200 songs (both those written 100% by the singer and those co-written with his bandmates) from his days in the group to his solo career.
Some of the melodies included in the deal are:
- Gone
- Girlfriend
- Pop

Justin not only benefited from this contract, but he also previously earned several million dollars for some of these songs, such as I’m Lovin’ It. In 2003, McDonald’s wanted to reach young consumers, so they paid the singer $6 million to promote the brand. Additionally, the star earned a total of $1.37 billion for launching the advertising campaign.
