The Bachelorette returns to our screens with the premiere of Season 21, led by Jenn Tran. The reality TV show will follow its first Asian-American lead as she navigates the enormous pressure of dating 25 men to find “the one.”

While we’re still in the early stages of the schedule of Season 21, viewers already have many questions about the show. Especially, when it comes to things such as rules that Bachelorette contestants have to follow, or the filming locations.

As fans of the franchise know, every season features a lot of traveling outside of the US, as well as in the US. However, one thing that fans might notice with this season of the show is that a particularly iconic location isn’t the same… The mansion. Here’s what to know.

The Bachelorette 2024: What happened to the traditional mansion?

The premiere of Jenn Tran’s season will have something different and it’s the mansion! The first episode of the season took place at the Hummingbird Nest Ranch in Santa Susana, California, confirmed People magazine. According to their website, their estate includes “the grand Spanish Villa, shaded olive groves, sparkling fountains, sprawling lawns and private vineyards.”

The Hummingbird Nest Ranch has been featured in the franchise before, as they filmed “The Bachelor Presents: Listen to Your Heart,” a 2020 spin-off. However, this is the first season of The Bachelorette since Season 18 that didn’t start at the traditional Bachelor mansion in Agoura Hills, California. However, Jenn Tran didn’t mind.

“I think what I’ve been trying to tell myself [is I’m the] first Asian Bachelorette, first PA student, we’re really breaking the mold this season,” Tran told Entertainment Tonight. “I feel like a new mansion is the perfect way to break the mold… I’m gonna bless it with some really good vibes,” she said.

The Bachelorette 2024: What other filming locations can we expect?

Per ABC, this season Jenn and her contestants will also travel to Melbourne, Australia and Auckland, New Zealand. Meanwhile, there were also reports that the filming took place in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii in mid-May, as well as in Pike Place Market in Seattle.
