After the tremendous success of The Walking Dead, it was expected that fan-favorite characters (those who survived) would have their own continuation. This was the case for Daryl Dixon, portrayed for over five years by Norman Reedus.

Now, the spin-off “TWD: Daryl Dixon” has once again become a worldwide trend, but this time on the Starz platform. Users have turned the post-apocalyptic series into one of the most-watched titles in the catalog.

The first season premiered on streaming in October 2023, and since then, it has become an essential title for fans of the original series, which has had a significant impact on popular culture since its debut in 2010.

The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon ranked No. 9 on Starz

The Walking Dead continues to expand its universe of zombies, wars, and a post-apocalyptic world that has been trending for years. This time, it was the turn of the Daryl Dixon spin-off to shine within the Starz platform and globally.

Currently, the drama holds the 9th position among the most-watched titles, surpassing “Power Book II: Ghost” with Michael Rainey Jr. and Mary J. Blige, according to the specialized streaming metrics site, Flix Patrol.

The show starring Norman Reedus is not the first to be derived from the zombie success that quickly became a cable television phenomenon; quite the opposite. It has joined the likes of Fear the Walking Dead, World Beyond and Dead City.

The first season of David Zabel‘s creation consists of only six episodes, following Daryl’s journey through a broken but resilient France, with the hope of finding his way back home. However, as he progresses on his journey, the connections he forms along the way complicate his ultimate plan.

The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon to have a Season 2

It has been confirmed that “TWD: Daryl Dixon” will have a second season with Reedus in the lead role, accompanied by Clémence Poésy and Adam Nagaitis, who portray new characters within the post-apocalyptic universe.

So, the undead created by Robert Kirkman are still very much alive, and after the tremendous success of the show, it was confirmed that they will all be back for another round. This season will be quite special as it has been dubbed The Book of Carol.

This means that Melissa McBride will once again play the role of Carol, and it will be within Reedus’s spin-off. As the subtitle suggests, the new episodes mark Carol’s return to Daryl’s life, as hinted at the end of Season 1.

As of now, AMC has not confirmed the exact premiere date for the new episodes, but they are expected to arrive at some point in 2024. So, all that’s left is to be patient and eagerly await the reunion of two old friends.
