Alan Ritchson has returned as Jack Reacher in Prime Video’s second season of ‘Reacher’. The first episodes are already available to stream on the platform, but there are still two more before the big finale. Here’s all you need to know about the schedule.

The second season is based on Bad Luck and Trouble (2007), the eleventh book of Lee Child’s series. The story follows Reacher as he investigates and seeks revenge for the murders of his old military unit.

This time, Ritchson is accompanied by Serinda Swan as Karla Dixon, Shaun Sipos as David O’Donnell, Ferdinand Kingsley as A.M., and Robert Patrick as Shane Langston. From Season 1, the returning character is Frances Neagley (Maria Sten), who was one of Reacher’s old squadmates on his military police team.

Reacher Season 2 schedule: When is the finale airing?

After the first five episodes of Reacher came out in December, the upcoming episodes will premiere on Fridays on Prime Video. The sixth episode will air on January 5, the seventh will come out on January 12 and the finale will premiere on January 19.

This schedule of dropping episodes weekly was a departure from Season 1, in which all episodes dropped at once. Reviews for the season have been mixed, with some thinking that the series is bigger and better, and other critics feeling like it doesn’t surpass the debut.

Is there going to be a third season of Reacher?

If you love the series, you will be thrilled to learn that Reacher will have a third season, as confirmed by Ritchson on a video ahead of Season 2 premiere. “December’s the season of hot cocoa and smiles and now Reacher,” he explained. “That’s right, Season Two of Reacher premieres December 15th on Prime Video. You know what else December is the season of? Surprises. And boy do I have a surprise for you. You’re on the set of Season Three of Reacher right now.”

So, that’s also good news for fans because that means that they could have new episodes this same year. However, there’s no official release date for Season 3 yet. Also, while we don’t know which book the series will adapt next, Ritchson told Comicbook.com that they will bring more “classic Reacher stories,” and that they might have nothing to do with his past or family. This could mean that the third season will follow a similar structure to the first one.
