After more than a decade since the release of the gladiator film that changed the history of cinema and Russell Crowe‘s career, it has been confirmed that its highly anticipated sequel will hit the big screen, starring Paul Mescal.
The Aftersun actor plays Lucius, but he is not the only talented star in the cast. On the contrary, Gladiator II features Pedro Pascal as Marcus Acacius, as well as Joseph Quinn and Denzel Washington.
This time, the story will portray the life of Lucilla’s son, who is next in line for the throne. The historical drama will focus on his years as the new emperor and the changes that come with it, being a true Roman warrior.
Rumored cast salary for Gladiator II
Showbiz Galore, the site specializing in celebrity salaries, reported what could be the pay for the lead actors in the Gladiator sequel, which will hit the big screen on November 22 of this year.
If the report is accurate, Denzel Washington has earned the title of the highest-paid star in the cast, with a payout of $20 million for his role as Macrinus. Pedro Pascal takes the second spot.
