Nicholas Galitzine and Taylor Zakhar Perez will be returning to their classic roles as Prince Henry and Alex Claremont-Diaz. It has not yet been revealed whether any of their former castmates, like Uma Thurman, will join them.
Amazon MGM Studios is taking charge of bringing this new romantic comedy to life, with Matthew López as the screenwriter, along with the involvement of the original novel’s author, Casey McQuiston.
Masters of the Universe
Masters of the Universe is one of the most recent projects Nicholas has added to his schedule. On Wednesday, May 29th, the actor confirmed that he will star in the live-action film, taking on the role of He-Man.
The movie is set to debut on the big screen on June 5, 2026, so there are still two years to go before we can experience the action-adventure drama based on the iconic animated series and its heroic characters.
The story will follow a prince, stranded on Earth as a child, who years later recovers a magical sword. Returning to Eternia, he battles Skeletor to protect his home but must confront his past to unlock his true power as He-Man.
Travis Knight (Bumblebee, ParaNorman, and The Six Billion Dollar Man) has been chosen as the director, while Chris Butler (Play Dead, The Maid, and Kubo and the Two Strings) will be responsible for developing the script.
Three Bags Full: A Sheep Detective
“Three Bags Full: A Sheep Detective Movie” is the upcoming mystery comedy being developed by Amazon MGM Studios, featuring a stellar cast filled with mega-talented and well-known figures from the industry.
Nicholas is one of them, but he is not the only one; the actor will be accompanied by Hugh Jackman, Emma Thompson, Conleth Hill, Tosin Cole, Hong Chau, Nicholas Braun and Molly Gordon, among others.
The film will be directed by Kyle Balda, the animation veteran responsible for hits like “Minions: The Rise of Gru”. The project is an adaptation of Leonie Swann‘s bestseller, with a screenplay by Craig Mazin (The Last of Us).
According to Deadline, the story follows George Hardy, a shepherd who loves his sheep and raises them solely for their wool. Every night, he reads a murder mystery aloud, pretending that his sheep can understand it.
When he is found dead under mysterious circumstances, the sheep immediately realize it was a murder and believe they know everything about how to solve it. Without help from the local police, they leave their meadow for the first time and face the fact that the human world is not so simple.
100 Nights of Hero
Nicholas Galitzine has signed on to star in the adaptation of “100 Nights of Hero“, based on the graphic novel of the same name by Isabel Greenberg. The actor will lead the story in the role of Manfred.
The film will be directed by Julia Jackman (Bonus Track), and Deadline reported that the story is essentially a feminist fairy tale inspired by “One Thousand and One Nights”, which is part of the collection of folk tales.
The book follows two women, Cherry and Hero, who are in love. The official synopsis, published by the entertainment industry media outlet, reads as follows:
“Cherry is married to a man named Jerome, who, despite his marriage, makes a bet with his friend, a lecherous villain named Manfred, that Manfred can seduce Cherry in 100 nights.
If Manfred succeeds, Jerome will hand Cherry over to him. Cherry, however, is not interested and devises a plan with her lover, Hero, who over the course of 100 nights, will tell Manfred a series of captivating stories to distract him from his attempts at seduction“.
