While the actor stopped short of confirming that Gargan will eventually become the symbiote-powered villain, he suggested that the character has several unexplored stages ahead, including what he called “the ultimate form of Venom”.
“The potential growth of [Mac Gargan] is enormous. Brand New Day is level one of this character’s potential and he has at least two or three levels up from here, one of them being the ultimate form of Venom”, he said while discussing the future of his MCU character.
The comments immediately reignited speculation surrounding one of Marvel Comics’ most notable connections between Scorpion and Venom.
