<p>This version of the play was directed by Carlo Carlei and adapted by Julian Fellowes. It stars Douglas Booth as Romeo and Hailee Steinfeld as Juliet. <p>According to Flix Patrol, a specialized metrics site, the <a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/topic/thriller">thriller</a> has managed to surpass other major original titles on the streaming giant, claiming the number 1 position on the podium. The popular story is based on a 2017 non-fiction book.</p>



<p>“<em>The Killers of the Flower Moon: The Osage Murders and the Birth of the FBI</em>” was a success among its readers, and after a few years, the adaptation landed in the hands of one of the most acclaimed directors in the industry: <strong>Martin Scorsese</strong>.</p>

<p><strong>Martin Scorsese</strong>’s <strong>‘Killers of the Flower Moon</strong>’ will finally make its debut on streaming. The <strong><a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/category/films">film</a></strong> will arrive on <strong>Apple TV+</strong> on January 12 (globally). The announcement comes just in time for the <strong><a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/movies/awards-season-2024-all-dates-for-oscars-emmys-grammys-golden-globes-and-more-20240102-SPEN-655.html">beginning of the awards season</a></strong>, in which the film is set to make a splash.</p>



<p>Starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Lily Gladstone in the lead roles, the story is set in 1920 in Oklahoma, and follows a conspiracy against members of the <strong>Osage nation</strong> in a series of brutal crimes known as the <strong>“Reign of Terror,” </strong>after major oil deposits were discovered on their land. It’s based on the bestselling novel by David Grann of the same name.</p>

<p>It received<strong> 12 Critics Choice Award nominations </strong>and 7 Golden Globe Award nominations, and it’s poised to be one of the favorites at the Oscars. Nods for Lily Gladstone (Best Actress), Martin Scorsese (Best Director) and Best Picture are being predicted.</p>



<p>The film, which reportedly had a production budget of<strong> $200 million</strong>, grossed <strong>$156 million at the global box office</strong> (distributed by Paramount). However, while it didn’t break even, experts still debate if it’s a hit or a miss for Apple, as it’s not a traditional studio. Streaming views and subscriptions will tell the whole story.</p>



<h2>Where was ‘Killers of the Flower Moon’ filmed?</h2>



<p>With such a big production budget, Scorsese got to do the movie as big as he wanted to. The film was shot on location in <strong>Oklahoma,</strong> with production designer <strong>Jack Fisk </strong>(The Revenant, There Will Be Blood) creating the sets with about $15 million from the budget, according to what he told Architectural Digest.</p>
