After years of existing as one of Hollywood’s favorite “what ifs”, Jennifer’s Body 2 is finally taking shape. The sequel to the 2009 cult horror hit is officially moving forward with Megan Fox set to return as Jennifer Check, reviving the role that transformed into a pop culture icon long after the film’s original release.



What began as an underappreciated box office disappointment has since become a defining cult classic, making a follow-up one of the most anticipated horror projects in development. With Fox’s return now confirmed, attention has shifted to Amanda Seyfried.



<h2>Is Amanda Seyfried Returning for Jennifer’s Body 2?</h2>



Amanda Seyfried is expected to return for Jennifer’s Body 2, although her involvement has not been formally announced by the studio. The actress was the first to reveal that a sequel was in development, confirming during Variety’s Actors on Actors series that the project is moving forward. She also made it clear that Megan Fox’s return was essential, saying, “I’m not doing it without her“.



With Megan Fox now attached to reprise her role as Jennifer Check, Seyfried’s return as Anita “Needy” Lesnicki appears increasingly likely. The original film ended with Needy surviving Jennifer’s death while inheriting supernatural abilities, leaving the door open for the story to continue. That ending has fueled years of fan speculation about where the character’s journey could go next.



Behind the scenes, momentum has continued to build. Screenwriter Diablo Cody has confirmed she is working on the sequel, while director Karyn Kusama recently acknowledged that the long-rumored project is real and is being reinvented in what she described as a “really cool and interesting way“. 



Although plot details remain under wraps, the creative team has repeatedly expressed interest in reuniting the original cast, making a Fox-Seyfried reunion one of the sequel’s biggest draws.

“Long Bright River” will hit the catalog of <a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/peacock">Peacock</a> sometime in 2025 and is one of the upcoming television dramas starring the Mamma Mia actress, following successes like The Dropout and The Crowded Room.



Amanda Seyfried stars in the role of Mickey. The seven episodes of Season 1 tell the story of a Philadelphia police officer searching for her sister, a missing addict. The narrative is based on the novel of the same name by Liz Moore. 



The acclaimed actress is not the only talent in the cast; she is joined by key actors such as Nicholas Pinnock, Patch Darragh, Hannah D. Scott, Vaughan Reilly, Callum Vinson and Perry Mattfeld, among others.

The <a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/topic/comedy">comedy</a> focuses on four friends who receive a drunken voicemail from a friend on the day of her wedding, confessing doubts about her decision, as she believes she is making a mistake. They decide to intervene to stop the wedding.



Amanda is one of the actresses who will portray a member of this group alongside talented stars from the industry, such as Ariana DeBose, Chloe Fineman, Liza Koshy and Megan Stalter. So far, they make up the cast.



The film is directed by Kay Cannon, known for Pitch Perfect 3, and she is also responsible for the screenplay of this project, which will additionally involve Ashley Rodger and author Taylor Jenkins Reid.



<h3>The Housemaid | TBA</h3>



“<a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/movies/the-housemaid-with-sydney-sweeney-plot-cast-and-more-about-the-adaptation">The Housemaid</a>” is one of the latest projects that Seyfried has been involved in, and on October 8, it was confirmed that the actress will star in the suspense thriller alongside <a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/topic/sydney-sweeney">Sydney Sweeney</a>, known for Euphoria.



Amanda will portray Nini, while the young star will play Millie. The plot is based on the popular novel by Freida McFadden, with the script written by Rebecca Sonnenshine and directed by Paul Feig.



The story follows a struggling woman who has spent a long time behind bars and is excited to start anew as a housemaid for a wealthy and elite couple, but not everything is as it seems.



<h3>Mamma Mia 3 | TBA</h3>



After several years since the release of Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again, it has been confirmed that the third installment of the franchise is in development, and it was Christine Baranski who informed that they are already writing the script.

Amanda was the second to hint at this, and during an interview, she even talked about <a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/movies/could-sabrina-carpenter-play-sophies-daughter-in-mamma-mia-3-amanda-seyfrieds-word">who could potentially play Sophie’s daughter</a> if the plot goes in that direction. The name that came up was Sabrina Carpenter.



Not much is known about the project yet, but Judy Kramer, the main producer of the films, is handling the matter. Baranski spoke with THR and said, “We’ll all be on some fabulous Greek or Croatian island having a blast, I hope“.
