Young Royals has had a long journey in the Netflix catalog, and it was confirmed some time ago that it will be back for one last season. This afternoon, the platform unveiled the first eight images from the new episodes, and undoubtedly, the story will return with more drama than ever, along with its protagonists.

The final installment will focus on the aftermath for Prince Wilhelm, played by Edvin Rying, the future king of Sweden. He confesses to the press that he is the one in the daring leaked video with his biggest secret, being in love with Simon, portrayed by Omar Rudberg.

When will Young Royals season 3 premiere on Netflix?

After several months of anticipation, Netflix has finally confirmed when the new and final episodes of Young Royals will arrive in the catalog. The third season will have its grand premiere in March 2024, so there are just under two months left to discover the continuation and bring closure to this successful series.

The exact day when the episodes will be added is still unknown, but the platform has released a small teaser to give fans a glimpse of what to expect, along with some unseen images. The story will once again feature drama, chaos, and many conflicts, but it will also be filled with significant moments, friendship, hope and freedom.

What did the cast say about the last season of Young Royals?

During an interview with Vogue, Omar Rudberg advised viewers to get ready for the new episodes and to “bring tissues”. He didn’t want to reveal too much about what will happen to the main characters, so he only disclosed that the last season “will be very impactful, very dramatic”.

As Netflix confirmed some time ago, filming for this installment concluded in June 2023, and it was Edvin Ryding who revealed a video shared by the platform where he stated that his favorite scene to film was the long-awaited ending.

Additionally, the head writer and co-creator Lisa Ambjörn confessed, “The ending has been clear to me from the beginning, and I am very grateful and honored to be able to finish this story as intended”.

Who is the cast of Young Royals season 3?

As expected, the majority of the cast will be returning for the new and final season of the iconic Swedish Netflix series for young adults. This means that Edvin Ryding and Omar Rudberg are just a few of the actors who will reprise their main roles. According to Collider, the upcoming episodes promise a lot of drama and more interactions between the characters.

In addition to the two lead actors who will resume their roles, those returning include Malte Gårdinger, who will bring nuances to the character of August Horn of Årnäs, Frida Argento, continuing to portray Sara Eriksson, and of course, Nikita Uggla, who will return as Felice Ehrencrona.
