




<p><strong>“Poor Things”</strong> is currently the number one <strong><a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/movies">movie</a></strong> on <strong><a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/hulu">Hulu</a> in the US</strong>, according to <strong>FlixPatrol</strong> (as for March 18, 2024). The film reached the top spot of the platform ten days after its release on streaming, boosted, of course, by the <strong><a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/topic/oscars">Oscars</a> </strong>ceremony.</p>



<p>Directed by<strong> Yorgos Lanthimos,</strong> the film received 11 nominations at the 96th Academy Awards, winning four: Best Production Design, Best Makeup and Hairstyling, Best Costume Design and, finally, <strong>Best Actress for <a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/topic/emma-stone">Emma Stone</a>.</strong></p>

<p>Stone also won the <strong>Critics Choice Award, the BAFTA </strong>and <strong>the Golden Globe</strong> for her performance as<strong> Bella Baxter. </strong>Despite all the praise, the <strong>black <a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/topic/comedy">comedy</a> film </strong>was also subject to some controversy, surrounding its themes and the depiction of women in society.</p>



<h2>Emma Stone’s ‘Poor Things’ reigns on Hulu in the US</h2>



<p><strong>Tony McNamara,</strong> who also worked with Lanthimos in ‘The Favourite,’ adapted the script of <strong>‘Poor Things,’</strong> which is based on the <strong>1992 book by Alasdair Gray</strong>. It tells the story of Bella Baxter (played by Stone), a young woman in Victorian London who, after attempting to take her life, undergoes a brain transplant that saves her life. </p>



<p>The film is bold and it’s filled with raunchy scenes, which divided critics. Many believed that the movie’s protagonist asserted her personhood throughout the story, others think that the story fell short to sell the message, such as <strong>Angelica Jade Bastién</strong> from Vulture and <strong>Manohla Dargis</strong>, chief critic of The New York Times.</p>



<p>Speaking with Stephen Colbert, Stone explained that the film is a “metaphor” and that she loved playing Bella <em>“because she doesn’t judge herself of her impulses, or really judge anything as positive or negative experience, it’s all just part of life and it’s all meaningful and all just interesting to her, t<strong>hat was an incredible thing to do.”</strong></em></p>

<p>Hulu’s comedy-drama <strong>“The Bear,”</strong> starring <strong><a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/topic/jeremy-allen-white">Jeremy Allen White</a></strong> and <strong><a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/topic/ayo-edebiri">Ayo Edebiri</a></strong>, has become one of the most acclaimed and beloved shows in recent years. With <strong><a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/hulu/the-bear-season-3-what-we-know-so-far-about-plot-release-date-and-more-20240111-SPEN-1317.html">Season 3 of “The Bear” set to premiere in June</a></strong>, there have been speculation about the series’ ending, especially after its stars have been in-demand for new projects. However, that’s not the case, per new reports.</p>



<p><strong><em>Reel Chicago</em></strong> first reported that FX/Hulu wants to renew the show for a fourth season, but <strong>Christopher Storer,</strong> creator and showrunner, <em>“only committed to three seasons and needs to move on to a long list of projects.” </em>Recently, Deadline announced that Storer will adapt and direct Amor Towles’ The Lincoln Highway for Warner Bros.</p>

However, neither outlet has confirmed if Season 4 will be the last of the series, and FX declined to comment.</p>



<h2>Season 5 of ‘The Bear’ remains a possibility</h2>



<p>Meanwhile, Deadline says that Season 5 of the dramedy is still a possibility. The outlet also suggests that shooting season 3 and 4 back to back is to <strong>accommodate the schedules of its stars</strong>, which are now in-demand for other projects.</p>



<p>Edebiri, who plays Sydney in the show, is set to appear in a voice role in Pixar’s <strong>“Inside Out 2,”</strong> in which she portrays Envy.<strong> <a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/celebrities/ayo-edebiri-upcoming-series-and-movies-what-projects-will-the-actress-be-in-20240116-SPEN-1814.html">Edebiri has other upcoming projects lined up</a>, </strong>including a thriller and a comedy.</p>

<p>In that regard, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, who plays Richard in the series, has been casted as <strong>Ben Grimm/The Thing </strong>in the highly-anticipated <strong><a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/movies/fantastic-four-confirmed-cast-and-new-release-date-for-the-upcoming-marvel-film-20240214-SPEN-6075.html">Marvel’s remake of The Fantastic Four.</a></strong> He is also set to appear in the thriller film “Dust.”</p>

<h2>Is there a release date yet for Season 3 The Bear?</h2>



<p><strong>Yes, The Bear will come back on June 27, when</strong> all the episodes of Season 3 drop on the platform. This will be the second time, after Season 2, that all the episodes will be available to stream at the same time. It was announced by Jeremy Allen White on his Instagram page, where he share a teaser of the upcoming installment.</p>

Stress got the best of him, and he started talking with <strong>Tina (Colón-Zayas)</strong> about how his relationship with Claire (Molly Gordon) distracted him. Sadly, Claire listened and she left the restaurant in tears. And Allen White has opinions about what should happen next.</p>



<p><em>“As Jeremy, a reader of scripts and watcher of [the] show, <strong>I think she deserves an apology at the very least</strong>,”</em> he told Deadline. “<em>So I hope there’s some version of that when I read scripts again.”</em> Back in June 2023, he also told Variety that he <em>“assume he’ll (Carmy) <strong>be operating from this sort of loss</strong>.”</em></p>

<p>In December, he told the outlet that “F<em>or the second season, so much of it was about putting the restaurant together, so there wasn’t that much cooking. But now, in the third season, I think we’re going to go back to that <strong>functioning kitchen atmosphere </strong>that we had in the first.”</em></p>



<h2>Season 3: Could Sydney and Carmy be in a relationship?</h2>



<p>According to the actors, <strong>that isn’t part of the plan</strong>. Both White and Edebiri had said that they didn’t discuss that possibility. Meanwhile, Storer told Variety that they wanted to <em>“make something that was about friendship and a partnership.”</em></p>



<p>However, fans aren’t convinced about it, especially after a scene in which Sydney and Carmy talk to each other under a table. White told Variety in June 2023 that <em>“it’s such a <strong>beautiful scene</strong>. It is a scene about partnership, but not a romantic partner.”</em></p>

<p>Meanwhile, Edebiri told The Hollywood Reporter in August 2023 that fans theories of a romance are <strong><em>“frustrating”</em></strong> because “<em>It’s really not our thought process when we’re making the show, and I understand it can be part of a show’s culture — but<strong> I don’t think they’re going to get what they want</strong>. I think it’s incredibly cool to have this dynamic onscreen that isn’t romantic, but that feels charged.”</em></p>

The film premiered in theaters with an R rating in early December, and hundreds of viewers rushed to get their tickets </p>



<p>This mysterious psychological <a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/topic/thriller">thriller</a>, based on <strong>Ottessa Moshfegh</strong>‘s 2015 novel of the same name, is set in 1960s Massachusetts and follows the parasitic relationship between two women working in a juvenile detention center.</p>

<p><strong>Neon</strong> and Hulu signed a streaming agreement. This means that all future titles from the film company founded by <strong>Tom Quinn </strong>and <strong>Tim League</strong> will be available exclusively there after their theatrical release.</p>

<p>The story follows Eileen, a young employee at a Massachusetts prison in the 1960s, who lives with her troublesome and alcoholic ex-police father, persistently making her life difficult. </p>



<p>According to Collider, the character encounters the charming Dr. Rebecca, a psychologist working at the same facility, and this meeting becomes a turning point in her life.</p>



<p>Despite becoming friends, as their relationship deepens, Eileen finds herself entangled in the dark past of the peculiar doctor, filling the plot with suspense, secrets, revelations, chaos, and tears.</p>

<p>Certainly, to carry such an intense narrative, great talent is required, which is why <strong>Anne Hathaway</strong> (The Idea of You) and <strong>Thomasin McKenzie</strong> (Last Night in Soho) were the ideal choices to lead the project. </p>



<p>During an interview with Collider and <strong>Shea Whigham</strong> (Take Shelter), who plays the father of the young protagonist, the actor took the time to praise his co-star, Thomasin, and stated:</p>



<p><em>“You take on these characters because they scare you a lot of times, and you don’t know if you’ll be able to figure them out, or if you really do. And that’s what they said about Will: when I get lost, he’d be able to bring some clarity to the character. The same with Thomasin. </em></p>



<p><em>She possesses, and this is something very difficult to do in acting, being in the moment at all times in a scene. Because everyone thinks that when they call ‘action,’ you can act between ‘action’ and ‘cut,’ but she’s always present to give you, no matter if I drop the microphone, she doesn’t act like it didn’t fall</em>“.</p>
