<p>After winning the <strong><a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/topic/oscars">Oscar</a></strong> for Best Original Screenplay, <strong>“Anatomy of a Fall”</strong> is now one of the most-watched <strong><a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/movies">movies</a></strong> on<strong> <a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/hulu">Hulu</a>. </strong>According to FlixPatrol, the legal drama currently holds the <strong>Top 7</strong> spot of the most streamed list on the platform in the US.</p>



<p>The film, which was directed and co-written by Justine Triet, follows Sandra, played by<strong> Sandra Hüller,</strong> a writer who has to prove her innocence after her husband dies from a fall. The film also stars <strong>Swann Arlaud,</strong> Milo Machado-Graner, Antoine Reinartz, Samuel Theis, and Jehnny Beth.</p>



<p>While it only won one Oscar, it was also nominated for Best Actress, Best Editing, Best Director and <strong>Best Picture</strong>. It was one of the three films directed by a woman (alongside <strong><a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/topic/greta-gerwig">Greta Gerwig</a></strong>‘s “Barbie” and Celine Song’s “Past Lives”) to compete for the latter category, making history.</p>



<h2>‘Anatomy of a Fall’ was one of the best films of the year</h2>



<p>Despite not being France’s submission for the Best International Film category, the French film has already garnered significant acclaim, having won the prestigious <strong>Palme d’Or at Cannes.</strong> While its courtroom procedural storyline is compelling, the film delves deeper into the complexities of a troubled marriage.</p>

<p>Also, at the Golden Globes, it won for Best Screenplay and Best Foreign Language Film. It also won <strong>Best Original Screenplay at the BAFTAS</strong>, in which it was nominated for seven other awards.</p>



<h2>‘Anatomy of a Fall’ portrays a complicated woman</h2>



<p>Triet wrote the screenplay with her husband, Arthur Harari. However, the pair had an initial idea about a woman being on a trial, <strong>unclear if she was guilty or not, </strong>and then they worked on scenes separately, and then discussed them together.</p>



<p>In an interview with W magazine, Triet said that she wanted to make Sandra <em>“complicated, like Marlene Dietrich in the film Witness for the Prosecution. At first, Dietrich seems like a femme fatale, in total control of men. <strong>And then you see another side completely</strong>—there’s something much more complex underneath.”</em></p>



<p>On the other hand, speaking to Deadline, Hüller said that she thinks the film shows <em>“someone who<strong> just doesn’t apologize for being there with all she is</strong>; with her talent, with her way of loving, with her way of respecting others and leaving space for the feelings of others.”</em></p>

<p><strong>“Poor Things”</strong> is currently the number one <strong><a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/movies">movie</a></strong> on <strong><a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/hulu">Hulu</a> in the US</strong>, according to <strong>FlixPatrol</strong> (as for March 18, 2024). The film reached the top spot of the platform ten days after its release on streaming, boosted, of course, by the <strong><a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/topic/oscars">Oscars</a> </strong>ceremony.</p>



<p>Directed by<strong> Yorgos Lanthimos,</strong> the film received 11 nominations at the 96th Academy Awards, winning four: Best Production Design, Best Makeup and Hairstyling, Best Costume Design and, finally, <strong>Best Actress for <a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/topic/emma-stone">Emma Stone</a>.</strong></p>

<h2>Emma Stone’s ‘Poor Things’ reigns on Hulu in the US</h2>



<p><strong>Tony McNamara,</strong> who also worked with Lanthimos in ‘The Favourite,’ adapted the script of <strong>‘Poor Things,’</strong> which is based on the <strong>1992 book by Alasdair Gray</strong>. It tells the story of Bella Baxter (played by Stone), a young woman in Victorian London who, after attempting to take her life, undergoes a brain transplant that saves her life. </p>



<p>The film is bold and it’s filled with raunchy scenes, which divided critics. Many believed that the movie’s protagonist asserted her personhood throughout the story, others think that the story fell short to sell the message, such as <strong>Angelica Jade Bastién</strong> from Vulture and <strong>Manohla Dargis</strong>, chief critic of The New York Times.</p>



<p>Speaking with Stephen Colbert, Stone explained that the film is a “metaphor” and that she loved playing Bella <em>“because she doesn’t judge herself of her impulses, or really judge anything as positive or negative experience, it’s all just part of life and it’s all meaningful and all just interesting to her, t<strong>hat was an incredible thing to do.”</strong></em></p>

<p>Hulu’s comedy-drama <strong>“The Bear,”</strong> starring <strong><a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/topic/jeremy-allen-white">Jeremy Allen White</a></strong> and <strong><a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/topic/ayo-edebiri">Ayo Edebiri</a></strong>, has become one of the most acclaimed and beloved shows in recent years. However, that’s not the case, per new reports.</p>



<p><strong><em>Reel Chicago</em></strong> first reported that FX/Hulu wants to renew the show for a fourth season, but <strong>Christopher Storer,</strong> creator and showrunner, <em>“only committed to three seasons and needs to move on to a long list of projects.” </em>Recently, Deadline announced that Storer will adapt and direct Amor Towles’ The Lincoln Highway for Warner Bros.</p>

<p><em>“As Jeremy, a reader of scripts and watcher of [the] show, <strong>I think she deserves an apology at the very least</strong>,”</em> he told Deadline. “<em>So I hope there’s some version of that when I read scripts again.”</em> Back in June 2023, he also told Variety that he <em>“assume he’ll (Carmy) <strong>be operating from this sort of loss</strong>.”</em></p>

<p>In December, he told the outlet that “F<em>or the second season, so much of it was about putting the restaurant together, so there wasn’t that much cooking. But now, in the third season, I think we’re going to go back to that <strong>functioning kitchen atmosphere </strong>that we had in the first.”</em></p>



<h2>Season 3: Could Sydney and Carmy be in a relationship?</h2>



<p>According to the actors, <strong>that isn’t part of the plan</strong>. Both White and Edebiri had said that they didn’t discuss that possibility. Meanwhile, Storer told Variety that they wanted to <em>“make something that was about friendship and a partnership.”</em></p>



<p>However, fans aren’t convinced about it, especially after a scene in which Sydney and Carmy talk to each other under a table. White told Variety in June 2023 that <em>“it’s such a <strong>beautiful scene</strong>. It is a scene about partnership, but not a romantic partner.”</em></p>

<p>Meanwhile, Edebiri told The Hollywood Reporter in August 2023 that fans theories of a romance are <strong><em>“frustrating”</em></strong> because “<em>It’s really not our thought process when we’re making the show, and I understand it can be part of a show’s culture — but<strong> I don’t think they’re going to get what they want</strong>. <p>According to Collider, the character encounters the charming Dr. Rebecca, a psychologist working at the same facility, and this meeting becomes a turning point in her life.</p>



<p>Despite becoming friends, as their relationship deepens, Eileen finds herself entangled in the dark past of the peculiar doctor, filling the plot with suspense, secrets, revelations, chaos, and tears.</p>

<p><em>“You take on these characters because they scare you a lot of times, and you don’t know if you’ll be able to figure them out, or if you really do. And that’s what they said about Will: when I get lost, he’d be able to bring some clarity to the character. The same with Thomasin. </em></p>



<p><em>She possesses, and this is something very difficult to do in acting, being in the moment at all times in a scene. Because everyone thinks that when they call ‘action,’ you can act between ‘action’ and ‘cut,’ but she’s always present to give you, no matter if I drop the microphone, she doesn’t act like it didn’t fall</em>“.</p>
