A few weeks ago, it was confirmed that filming has already concluded, and the movie is set to hit the big screen on November 22, 2024. Pedro’s role is still unknown, but it’s confirmed that he will be joined by prominent stars such as Joseph Quinn, Matt Lucas, Denzel Washington, Derek Jacobi and Connie Nielsen, reprising her role as Lucilla.

The plot is set 20 years after the events of the original film, which was released in 2000 with Russell Crowe in the lead role. This time, a grown-up Lucius, the son of Lucilla, who witnessed the previous events up close, will assume the legacy of Maximus.

Freaky Tales — TBA

Freaky Tales is Pascal’s upcoming film scheduled to be one of the standout dramas of the year. The R-rated project was directed by Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck, who also co-wrote the script.

The plot portrays four interconnected stories set in 1987 in Oakland, California, exploring love for music, cinema, people, places, and memories beyond our known universe.

Pedro will bring Clint to life, accompanied by other top-tier stars such as Tom Hanks, Angus Cloud, Ji-young Yoo, Ben Mendelsohn, Jack Champion, Keir Gilchrist, Normani and Jay Ellis, among others.

Drive-Away Dolls — February 23, 2024

Pascal was one of the first actors confirmed for the cast of Drive-Away Dolls, the upcoming dramatic film by Ethan Coen, co-written by the filmmaker himself and Tricia Cooke. The Chilean actor will be joined by Margaret Qualley and Geraldine Viswanathan, who will star in the story alongside other prominent figures.

Beanie Feldstein, Joey Slotnick, Colman Domingo, Bill Camp, Matt Damon and C.J. Wilson are some of them. The R-rated film, running for one hour and 24 minutes, already has its release date scheduled and will hit the big screen on Friday, February 23. Pedro will bring The Collector to life, one of the main roles.

In essence, the plot follows Jamie and Marian, who, in search of a fresh start, embark on an unexpected road trip to Tallahassee. However, things quickly take a turn when they encounter a group of inept criminals.

Fantastic Four — 2025

Fantastic Four is the next Marvel film that will receive a new adaptation in 2025. Pascal recently joined the cast in the role of Reed Richards, while Ebon Moss-Bachrach will play Ben Grimm, and Vanessa Kirby is slated to portray Sue Storm. There are not many details available yet, but Variety confirmed that negotiations are in the final stages.

Matt Shakman will be directing the film, with a script by Josh Friedman, Jeff Kaplan, and based on the comics by Stan Lee. According to IMDb, the release was expected on May 2 of the following year, but the date may vary and could be postponed, as has happened with other MCU projects.

The Last of Us Season 2 — 2025

Undoubtedly, one of the most eagerly awaited series among fans of the game and post-apocalyptic zombie worlds is The Last of Us. After its hugely successful first season, HBO has confirmed that Joel and Ellie are back for a new season, once again starring Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey.

The 8-time Emmy-winning series is an adaptation of Naughty Dog’s acclaimed video game and still has much story left to explore. According to Max, filming began early in the year, so we can expect the first episodes of the new installment sometime in 2025, debuting on the major streaming platform.

During a press conference with Consequence TV, Craig Mazin talked about the future of the show, where he confessed, “The amount of story that is left, that we haven’t covered, would be more than one season. So yes, assuming we can move forward, the idea would be to do more than one season“.

Kaitlyn Dever has been cast to join Pascal and Ramsey in the role of Abigail “Abby” Anderson, while Young Mazino will take on the character of Jesse, a member of the Fireflies, and Catherine O’Hara will have a significant role that has yet to be revealed.

My Dentist’s Murder Trial — TBA

My Dentist’s Murder Trial is HBO’s new true-crime genre project that will be presented in a series format, featuring Pedro Pascal and David Harbour as the lead actors. According to Variety, the story is based on real events, with Todd Black, Jason Blumenthal, Steve Tisch, Bruce Terris, and Molly Allen serving as executive producers.

Steve Conrad will be the scriptwriter and director of the first episode, and James Lasdun, the author of the New Yorker article on which the first season is based (“My Dentist’s Murder Trial: Adultery, False Identities and a Lethal Sedation”), will also be fulfilling the same role.

The article was published in 2017 and narrates the story of Dr. Gilberto Núñez, a dentist from Upstate New York accused of the death of his friend Thomas Kolman. The start date for filming is yet to be announced, making the release date still a mystery.

The Uninvited — MARCH, 2024

The Uninvited is one of the many upcoming films that will feature Pascal in a leading role. Undoubtedly, the actor will have a great year in the cinematic realm. The project, written and directed by Nadia Conners, follows a stranger who crashes a party, triggering a comedy of errors and a life rearrangement.

The narrative is a horror epic of multiple interconnected stories about the disappearance of high school students in a small town. Pedro’s role is yet to be revealed, but it has been confirmed that he will be one of the main characters.

Materialists is Pedro’s next major film, in which he will star alongside Chris Evans and Dakota Johnson, two of the most influential stars of their generation. It’s a romantic comedy set in New York and directed by Celine Song.
